How do I check a routine and fix a failed run?
Open Routines, click the routine to see its recent runs and log, then click Ask the bot to fix it or Retry.
On this page
Open Routines and click the routine to see when it last ran, its recent runs and the log of the last run. If a run did not finish, click Ask
See how your routines are doing
- Click Routines at the top of the bot list. A dot on it means a routine needs a look.
- Check the three cards at the top: Right now, Next up and Since this morning.
- To see only problems, click the Needs a look tab. You can also filter by Running, Trying again or Paused, by bot, or with Search routines.
The table shows each routine’s Schedule, Next run, Last run and Model.
What the last run status means
- Done: the last run finished.
- Running: it is running now.
- Didn’t finish: the last run stopped before it was done.
- Trying again: the last run failed and Locul will retry it.
- Waiting for plan: your Claude plan has hit its usage limit. The routine continues when the limit resets.
- Not yet: it has not run yet.
Look at one routine
- On the Routines page, click the routine.
- The side panel shows Last run, Next run, Model and Runs on.
- Under Recent runs, see each run with its date, how long it took and how it ended.
- Under Raw log, last run, see the details of the last run, including any error.
Fix a run that did not finish
- Open the routine on the Routines page.
- Read the error under Raw log, last run.
- Click Ask
to fix it . The bot gets a message asking it to fix the routine and tell you what it changed. - To try again right away, click Retry.
Common reasons a run does not finish
- It needed your OK. A routine runs with no one watching. If it pauses for permission, open the bot’s chat and click Allow for this task. To stop it asking, turn on Run without asking (approve everything) in the routine’s side panel. Only do this for routines you trust.
- Locul was closed. Routines only run while Locul is open unless you turn on the background helper at the top of the Routines page.
- Your AI plan hit its limit. The status shows Waiting for plan and the routine continues later on its own.
- It runs on another computer. If Runs on names a different device, click Run on this computer to move it here.
Other actions
- Run now: run the routine once, right away.
- Pause or Resume: stop or restart its schedule.
- To change what a routine does or when, tell the bot in the chat.
You can also check a single bot’s routines in its details panel under Scheduled tasks. Click a task to see its status, then use Run now or Remove.
Troubleshooting
If a routine keeps failing after the bot tries to fix it, email [email protected] with the routine name and the error from Raw log, last run.
