What does "You have used this month's Locul AI" mean?
Your plan's hosted Locul AI has a rolling 30-day allowance. It frees up as older use drops out. Your bots' chats keep working.
Locul AI is the hosted AI that builds memories from your notes. Every plan includes an allowance over a rolling 30 days. When you reach it, this message appears. The allowance frees up again as older use drops out of the window.
What still works
Your bots keep chatting. They run on the AI you chose in Settings > AI model, such as Claude or your own provider, not on Locul AI. Your existing memories stay searchable in Locul and in your other AI apps.
What pauses is building new memories with Locul’s cloud engine. Before you reach the limit, Locul may switch to a simpler model so you can keep working.
What you can do
- Wait. The allowance comes back over the next 30 days as older use drops out. You don’t need to do anything.
- On the free plan, upgrade. See Locul pricing for what each plan includes.
- On a paid plan, ask for more. Email [email protected] to raise the limit.
- Build memories on your own server. If you run Ollama on a server on your network, open Settings > AI model, choose Your own server, select it, and click Build them on [server name] too. Building on your own server does not use Locul AI.
Check what builds your memories
Open Settings > Cloud and local and look at Memories are built on. A cloud engine means Locul AI.
