How do I download and install Locul?

Download Locul from https://locul.ai/download/ and run the installer for your computer. Locul is a desktop app for Mac and Windows only.

Before you start

• Mac: there are builds for Apple Silicon (M1 and later) and for Intel Macs.
• Windows: the installer is for 64-bit Windows.
• There is no phone or tablet app. If you open the download page on a phone, you can have the download link emailed to you instead.

Install on a Mac

1. Go to https://locul.ai/download/ and click Download for Mac.
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
3. Drag Locul into your Applications folder.
4. Open Locul from Applications.
5. If macOS asks whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet, click Open. This only happens the first time.

Install on Windows

1. Go to https://locul.ai/download/ and download the Windows installer.
2. Run the downloaded .exe file.
3. If you see “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway. Windows shows this for apps it has not seen many times yet.
4. Locul installs and opens on its own.

After installing

Locul opens on the sign-in screen. Sign in or create your free account, then follow the first-run steps.

Troubleshooting

• The installer will not run or Locul will not open: see Locul will not install or open.
• Reinstalling on a new computer: download the installer again and sign in with the same email. Your plan follows the email you sign in with.
